The mayor of Paris has called the Nyansapo festival to be banned for excluding white people. The festival is scheduled to take place in a property owned by the city of Paris.80% of the venue will be reserved for black women and another area will be reserved for black people of any sexuality. A third of the area will be opened for everyone.

Anne Hidalgo, mayor or Paris, tweeted that she deserves the right to prosecute the organizers for discrimination although the organizers stated that the mayor had no jurisdiction over the event. As a result, some French anti-racism organizations have condemned the festival as well. The Nyansapo festival is set to be celebrated this coming July by black women.
