A recent study shows that heat waves from Japan to Algeria peaked in 2018. Dr. Dim Coumou from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) states that the human-caused global warming is the reason for the rise in temperature. This heightens the severity of heat waves and heavy rainfall which makes extreme weather conditions.

The changes in the planet’s natural flow are proofs of human-caused warming in the Arctic. Nature Communications added that global warming occurs faster in the Arctic than elsewhere. The difference in temperature between the equator and the north is seriously being reduced. In spite of this, experts state that these changes are not yet certain to have been caused mainly by humans.
