Dubai has been known for breaking world records over the years, and another feat has been added to its list. The world’s first and highest 360-degree infinity pool has just opened at the Palm Tower, a 52-story mixed-use luxury hotel and residential building owned by Nakheel, a real estate company headquartered in the emirate.

The 200-meter AURA Skypool, which was built by Sunset Hospitality (SHG), a hospitality investment and management company, holds a 750-square-meter pool deck on the 50th floor of the Palm Tower. The space, which is depicted as “an island in the sky,” also showcases a VIP lounge filled with sun beds, and a bar with a variety of cocktails and tapas dishes. Guests also have the option to book either a morning or sunset session. The pool’s admission fee starts at 170 AED (or approximately ¥5,212) for morning visits, which soars to 600 AED (approximately ¥18,468) for a one-day VIP access to the entire AURA area. “AURA is truly unlike any other destination in the UAE and the world,” Antonio Gonzalez, CEO of Sunset Hospitality, said in a statement last October. The AURA Skypool was opened months after the 240-meter-high observation deck called The View, which is located on the 52nd floor of the spectacular tower. The establishment also features the first SushiSamba restaurant in the Middle East.
