Muirfield is home of the oldest golf club in the world – The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. Last year, Muirfield’s members voted to not allow female membership and continue with its male-only policy. However, Muirfield faced a lot of criticisms after the decision. So last May, Muirfield held another election and 498 of its 621 members voted to allow female members to the club. Danny Willet, the current Masters champion, is very happy with the decision.
