The World Health Organization asks for the help of governments from all over the world to fight the bad effects of tobacco. Tobacco is bad for our health. Over 7 million people die every year because of tobacco use. According to WHO, governments can do a lot to make the world tobacco-free. Governments can ban tobacco advertisements. They can also make companies follow strict rules on how tobacco is packaged. WHO says tobacco packaging should show warning signs and photos of the bad effects of smoking. Increasing the tax and prices of tobacco can also help control tobacco. WHO also suggests governments to make public places and workplaces smoke-free.
