Britain’s Royal Family are known advocates of various causes such as veteran’s affairs and homelessness. Queen Elizabeth herself is linked to more than 600 organizations as a royal patron or president. Prince Charles has more than 400 causes. Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry have a growing list of numerous organizations that they support. The cause that is closest to the family’s heart, however, is mental health.

In an interview, Prince Harry openly shared his first-hand experience with mental illness. He stated that he suffered from depression for many years. This is following the fatal car crash her mother, Princess Diana, was involved in 1997. He candidly shared how he acted up in his 20’s as a manifestation of his depression. Prince Harry uses this experience to inspire young men and women through his story and struggle.
