Keio University and CureApp Inc., a medical technology company in Tokyo, created a smartphone app that can help smokers quit smoking. The app studied the amount of carbon monoxide a patient has together with their medical history. It will give patients daily tips on how to stop smoking. The university did many tests of the app in medical centers on 572 patients. The report says that only 285 people used the app and managed to stop the bad habit after six months.
