Global warming has been a huge problem and people aren’t thinking much about it. Japan’s Cabinet is planning some ways to give off zero pollution by 2050 and here are some ways to do that:
1. REDUCE, REUSE, AND RECYCLE
Avoid using single-use plastic bags and choose to carry around reusable things such as metal chopsticks or mugs and eco-bags. This might be hard at first but as you do it every day, it will soon be a part of your habit.
2. EVERYTHING COMES WITH A HIDDEN PRICE
In buying goods, always go for the best option in which you can use for a very long time. In this way, you don’t only help the environment by buying and throwing the same things many times but also save your money.
3. ECO-FRIENDLY TRAVEL
Airplanes fill the air with great amounts of pollutants. So, instead of going abroad, traveling by bus or train will help us enjoy a greener planet longer.
4. EAT LESS MEAT
The livestock industry also harms the environment by its process of feeding the animals we eat and the forest we cut off for its home. To solve this problem, set aside the meat and be the one who’ll eat the crops instead of the animals we eat.
5. GO AGAINST FOSSIL FUELS
The Climate Accountability Institute found out that 63% of harmful chemicals fill the air from just 90 fossil fuel businesses. By using renewable energy such as solar panels, we can help save the environment.
6. CHANGES START AT HOME
Practice what we want to see and preach what we practice. We can influence other people to fight climate change if they can see great results in what we do.
We only have one Earth so start making a great difference for it now!
