Health authorities in France already allowed AstraZeneca’s covid-19 vaccine for people to use but recommended that it should only be given to people below 65 years of age. The authorities controlled the giving of vaccines because the data for older people is not enough. The European Union approved the vaccines but it is up to the member countries to decide for their own. Over 1.5 million people in France have already received the vaccine against Covid-19 made by AstraZeneca, a UK-Swedish medical company. Research showed that the AstraZeneca vaccine is safe to use and was declared 70% effective. So far, none of the people who received the vaccine have never experienced serious illnesses nor been hospitalized because of Covid-19.
