Two men were arrested for stealing paintings by two famous artists Vincent van Gogh and Frans Hals last year in museums in the Netherlands. Van Gogh’s “The Parsonage Garden at Nuenen in Spring” was stolen on March 30, 2020, from The Singer Laren museum in North Holland. Police caught one of the men involved. The painting shows the garden of the church house Gogh lived in. Police added that in August of the same year, a 58-year-old man from Baarn was also caught for reportedly taking away the painting “Two Laughing Boys With a Mug of Beer” by Hals from the Hofje van mevrouw Aerden in Leerdam. The art piece shows two boys laughing with a mug of beer. The police continue to find both paintings that remain missing, as well as the other men who took part in this.
