Former Sydney hospital staff is under investigation after pretending to be a doctor. Authorities found out on Monday, August 9, that the 27-year-old woman was not registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), which gives licenses to medical staff in the country. The hospital asked for her documents, but she could not provide any. The woman failed her exams and reportedly faked her papers to get hired. The fake doctor had worked for eight months as a trainee doctor before getting fired from work. She could face several offenses such as fraud, but no charges have been filed yet. Meanwhile, the hospital is doing an internal investigation, a spokesperson said.
