Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple will release an “Extreme Sports” watch this year. The new technology will have the company’s largest display, a bigger battery, and a metal casing. Gurman says that the screen view will be 1.9 inches diagonally. He thinks that the larger screen could show more fitness options or watch faces. He also says that the device will use a stronger metal than aluminum and a break-resistant screen. The said product should have a bigger battery so it can be used for longer workouts. When hiking, it will also be able to tell how high up you are. As with the Apple Watch 8, the extreme sports model will measure body temperature to discover fevers. The new technology mentioned earlier is to be announced later this year along with the Apple Watch Series 8 and an updated Apple Watch SE.
