Coca-Cola recently revealed two new drinks, Coca-Cola Spiced and Coca-Cola Spiced Zero Sugar. These are the first new drinks added to the North American lineup in three years. They were released on February 19 to meet the growing interest in spicier flavors, similar to those found in snacks like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and Sweet Heat Starburst. Despite the spicy twist, Coca-Cola Spiced mainly features a soft raspberry taste, made better with a special mix of spices that enhance the classic Coca-Cola flavor. These new drinks were inspired by findings from the Coca-Cola Creations project in 2022, which looked into different limited-time flavors like coconut, strawberry, and watermelon. Shakir Moin, Coca-Cola’s North American marketing leader, said this project was crucial for understanding what younger consumers like. Unlike the usual long process, Coca-Cola made Coca-Cola Spiced in just seven weeks. This fast work shows how Coca-Cola wants to keep up with what people want and attract the next generation of customers.
