A new science fiction movie called Jurassic World Rebirth opened in cinemas on July 2, 2025. The film takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion. The story is set on the original island where dinosaurs were first made. Two experts, played by Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, are hired by a pharmaceutical company to get live dinosaur DNA. Their mission is to find DNA from three giant species—Quetzalcoatlus, Mosasaurus, and Titanosaurus—to help make new medicine for heart problems. The company says this could improve cardiovascular treatment. Some scenes were filmed in Thailand and show captivating places like waterfalls and cliffs. These views also match the film’s message about the consequences of changing nature.

The movie mixes action, science fiction, and deeper messages. A museum paleontologist in the film warns that working with dinosaur genes can be dangerous. In a surprise scene, the film shows that genetically changed dinosaurs still live on the island, which adds a sinister twist to the story. The dinosaurs, including a big T-Rex and new mixed species, were made using powerful CGI to look more monstrous and real. Movie critics said the director Gareth Edwards and writer David Koepp did a commendable job in bringing back the thrill of the original 1993 film. The movie is rated PG-13 and runs for 133 minutes.
