A new rock band named Velvet Sundown is getting attention. This band is special because it was made by a computer. The songs, words, and pictures for the band were all created by computer programs like Suno and Udio. Experts say these tools are changing music. Now, people can make music by just typing a few words. The music service Deezer said that 18% of new songs each day are made by AI. Deezer now shows a label when a song is made by AI to help people understand.

It is not easy to know if a song is made by AI. Manuel Mousallam from Deezer said they use their own tools to check for special sounds made by computers. There are other clues too, like no concerts or little online activity. One tool, called IRCAM Amplify, checks if music was made by AI, but it is not always right. Some people also see that AI songs use the same words again and again, like “neon” or “whispers.” Experts say it will be harder to tell in the future. Music companies want better tools to protect real artists and help listeners trust what they hear.
