Google and Facebook have announced recently that they will be requiring COVID-19 vaccinations to all their employees working at the office. According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, it would start in the United States in the coming weeks, followed by other countries in the next months. Pichai said, “getting vaccinated is one of the most important ways to keep ourselves and our communities healthy in the months ahead.” On the other hand, Facebook Vice President of People Lori Goler said that the social media company is aiming for a process for those who cannot be vaccinated for medical or other reasons and will be considering its method in other countries as the situation develops. US President Joe Biden also announced recently that all government workers are required to receive COVID-19 vaccines or do regular testing, as he mourned the “American tragedy” of deaths among unvaccinated individuals. “Right now, too many people are dying or watching someone they love die and say, ‘If I’d just got the vaccine,’” Biden said.
