Reteti Elephant Sanctuary is in Kenya. It helps young elephants that are alone. In 2025, the sanctuary cared for many elephants that lost their families because of dry weather or people. The Samburu people run the sanctuary and take care of the animals every day. This work is very important for the elephants and the community.

The workers give milk to the baby elephants. They use goat’s milk from local families. This milk is safe for the elephants. Many Samburu women sell milk and earn money. The sanctuary also gives jobs to local people. Tourists visit and learn about animals and culture. This helps the community stay strong. Reteti shows how people and animals can live together.
