Scientists are learning new things from rocks collected from the moon. These rocks were brought to Earth by Apollo astronauts many years ago. A new study shows that the moon had a strong magnetic field for short times a long time ago. This means the moon could protect itself for a short time. Scientists looked at the rocks again and saw that the magnetic field could change. They think this happened because of special materials inside the moon. Future astronauts in the Artemis program will go to a new area of the moon. They will collect more rocks to learn more about the moon and its history.
