The amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) that the humans make during the COVID-19 pandemic has been decreasing by 17 percent since April, equal to the daily average for 2019. Most of the reduction of CO2 came from manufacturing, power generation, transportation, and shipping. Aviation is the most affected industry with the cut of its carbon footprint by 60 percent. But scientists and environmentalists are not satisfied with it. Closing many businesses to ease the effects of coronavirus is not enough to end climate change.
