Having multiple jobs or Kakemochi has yet to become a prevailing practice, with only a small number of companies permitting it. If Japanese government get serious about job-juggling, workers will no longer have to hide their moonlighting activities. They’ll be free to have other jobs aside from their current job – thus, boosting their income and even helping their families make ends meet.
Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry stated that having multiple jobs help promote innovation, secure and train staff, increase an individual’s income, and even boost the creation of new jobs. These factors will surely benefit the economy but at the expense of the workers’ security and health. If an individual has 5 jobs, it is difficult to balance his or her meals and sleeping patterns.
