China has undeniably created a huge impact in the world and earned worldwide recognition for being one of, if not, the most powerful country in the world. The current stature that China enjoys can be credited to the efforts of President Xi Jinping in building stronger relationships with other nations. He visits countries, donates firearms, and invests and builds infrastructures, among other things. Amidst the seemingly generous acts, some countries deem President Xi Jinping’s aggressiveness an interference to foreign affairs and policies.

The Australian government is displeased with how Beijing meddles in the domestic affairs of some countries. Reports about China buying more valuable technologies despite closing the Chinese market in Germany garnered criticisms as well. Aside from that, Malaysia was accused of selling their sovereignty to Beijing because of its investments in infrastructure. Regardless of how other countries perceive Pres. Xi Jinping’s boldness, President Trump’s election has presented an opportunity for China to present itself as a more secure alternative to the US.
