North Korean and South Korean leaders have officially put an end to the Korean war. It had been going on for 65 years. Leaders Kim Jong-un and Moon Jae-in met in a summit last April. This is the first time the leaders met in over a decade.

They met and shook hands at the border that divided North and South Korea for decades. During this meeting, they pledged to end the tensions in the region. Kim Jong-un also promised to abandon nuclear weapons. He did not state, however, what he expects in return.
