Expo 2020 Dubai event organizers have started preparations on October 1 for the upcoming event, exactly one year from the said date. Expo’s official website released photographs of the site’s ongoing constructions such as the event’s buildings and walkways for the visitors. The event’s current theme is “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,” which focuses on improving innovation to solve real world problems. Expo 2020 in Dubai was originally set to start on October 20,2020, but has been delayed to next year, October 1, 2021, as a result of COVID-19’s threat. The event will end on March 31, 2022, marking a 6-month period.

According to a press release, the buildings’ and walkways’ initiatives are to be finalized by the end of December 2020. Investments have been put to the development of transport and infrastructure in Dubai, and the city plans to reuse 80% of it as a combined commercial and residential site. “We hope that people will join us to achieve our objectives to bring the world together and put humanity and the planet on the right path towards dignity for all,” Expo 2020 Dubai and UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Director General Reem Al Hashimy said.
