World boxing champions Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence Jr. are set to fight this coming August in Las Vegas, Nevada. This would be Pacquiao’s first match since his win over Keith Thurman last July 2019. The 31-year-old Spence Jr. brings a record of 0 loss and 27 wins. The American fighter confirmed the fight on Instagram saying, “Done deal! See y’all in Vegas for the biggest fight of the year.” Spence is returning to protect his title from a win over Danny Garcia last year in December, which was also his first fight since his injury from a car accident in 2019. Sean Gibbons, president of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, said that Pacquiao will never draw back from real fights, especially now with Spence who’s believed as the best welterweight in the world. Gibbons added that the fight came up immediately, pointing out that Spence was the only contender now for the eight-division world champion.
