Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling is reportedly playing Ken in the upcoming Warner Bros. movie, “Barbie”. On the other hand, actress Margot Robbie is set to play Barbie in the film that will be directed and co-written by American actress and director Greta Gerwig. According to reports, Gosling originally refused the role because of his busy schedule, but things might have changed because of the film studio’s courage and delayed production. Ken was introduced in 1961 as the Barbie doll’s male partner. It celebrated its 50th anniversary earlier this year. The “Barbie” movie is set to start in production in early 2022 at WB’s Leavesden Studios in London. It is planned to be shown in cinemas in 2023. There is nothing yet known about the movie’s storyline, except that it should be completely different than what people expect.
