Marvel Studios is leading once again in the United States movie charts for its newest comic movie “Eternals.” It has been released on November 5 in cinemas and collected $27.5 million from 4,090 North American theaters in its second week of showing. On November 14, it passed the $100 million mark in the US and Canada, with movie ticket receipts worth $118 million. Despite not being able to gain much praise, only a number of movies have reached $100 million in 2021 given the COVID-19 situation. The superhero adventure travels back from thousands of years and follows “a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants,” according to Marvel Studios. Among the actors and actresses in the movie are Angelina Jolie, Kit Harington, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Lia McHugh, Salma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Kumail Nanjiani, Gemma Chan, and Richard Madden. It was directed by Chloé Zhao, who recently won the Best Director award at the Academy Awards for the movie “Nomadland.”
