Well-known director Peter Jackson will make a new documentary film from ‘The Beatles’ 1970’s farewell documentary “Let It Be”. The film is from the 55 hours of unseen video and 140 hours of recorded sound from The Beatles’ recording sessions.

The 1970’s film has long been viewed as a story on how the band members grew apart from one another. On the other hand, Jackson said that the new film tells a very different story.

Jackson is working on “Let It Be” with the cooperation of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the widows of John Lennon and George Harrison – Yoko Ono, and Olivia Harrison. However, no release date yet has been set for the new documentary film.
